1. Information We Collect

Photos you upload: When you use YouHue, you upload a selfie for analysis. This image is:

Processed in memory only
Never saved to any database or storage
Deleted immediately after your recommendations are generated
Stripped of all EXIF metadata (location, device info, etc.)

Derived features: We extract numerical color values (LAB color space coordinates) from your image to match products. These are anonymous numbers with no way to reconstruct your face.

Usage data: We collect anonymous analytics including:

Number of requests (not tied to individuals)
Product categories selected
General performance metrics

2. How We Use Your Information

Your uploaded photo is used solely to:

Analyze your skin tone and complexion
Match you with similar celebrity complexions in our database
Recommend makeup products that complement your coloring

We do not use your photos for training AI models, advertising, or any purpose other than generating your immediate recommendations.

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties. Period.

When you click "Buy" on a product, you are redirected to the retailer's website (e.g., MAC Cosmetics). Their privacy policy governs your interaction with their site.

4. Data Retention

Photos: 0 seconds. Deleted immediately after processing.

Anonymous analytics: Retained for up to 12 months to improve our service.

5. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including:

HTTPS encryption for all data transmission
No persistent storage of biometric or facial data
Rate limiting to prevent abuse

6. Your Rights

Since we don't store your photos or personal data, there's nothing to delete. However, you can contact us at privacy@youhue.app with any questions or concerns.

7. Children's Privacy

YouHue is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
